LAKE DUNSTAN TRAIL

Cyclists and walkers experiencing the 55km Lake Dunstan Cycle & Walking Trail will marvel at the man-made landscapes, the rich Maori and early pioneer history, and amble through the vineyards of Bannockburn.

The region’s rich modern, pioneering and Maori historical stories are integrated along the way, some of which are brought to life in the Clyde and Cromwell Historical Precinct.

And of course, coffee is needed along the way to keep riders fueled in the Cromwell Gorge section of the trail...

Check out this Stuff Travel article of what's been termed NZ's most spectacular bike ride.

Meet The Team

Richard and Jolanda Foale are the masterminds behind Coffee Afloat and Burger Afloat.

Having been photo models for the official Lake Dunstan Trail marketing material, they quickly realised there needed to be a coffee stop en route.

Fast forward to the opening of the trail and they were ready to provide cyclists and walkers with caffeine and snacks.

They are supported by an amazing team of baristas who love serving you with a smile and have a chat about your adventure.
